Oddly enough that does make me a little sad.  We had taken a pic with the kids on front of the butterfly every year.

Yes, it's true.  Many people have wrote to ask me if it was true that the Iconic Floral Butterfly that we have all come to know at the front of the Dollywood park was torn out this week.  It is sad to say, but yes it is now GONE.  Bricks, dirt and butterfly are all gone.  We can only hope that the park will rebuild the butterfly again in another location of the park.  It would be sad to think the butterfly was going to go away all together.  Also, if you make a trip to the Emporium, you will also notice that the season pass entrance is not there any longer.  it has been moved to the other side of the building (the entrace beside where the floral butterfly was). 

Please post your comments and thoughts here about the removal of the butterfly.
